Colleen Guimond


Colleen Guimond is a certified genetic counsellor who brings many years of experience to her role at Olive. She is delighted to be part of a team providing high-level care and genetic services to pregnant and planning patients.

Colleen completed her undergraduate degree in Ontario at the University of Guelph and her Master’s of Genetic Counselling degree at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She holds a Clinical Instructor position at UBC and thoroughly enjoys her involvement in teaching for both the Genetic Counselling Training Programme and UBC School of Medicine. Colleen’s areas of research interest and publication include reproductive decision-making, epidemiology of complex genetic disorders, multiple sclerosis, and familial forms of dementia.

Colleen is also on staff at BC Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where she sees families enrolled in a research study aiming to identify genetic causes of atypical cerebral palsy using whole genome sequencing.
