Me and my husband started working with Dr. Wise in 2017. Our journey to becoming parents was definitely not a short one, but one that we never gave up on. We spent our time weighing out all of our options and running every test in the book to determine why it was so difficult to start our family. With three miscarriages and all of our results coming back clear, we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We were in our early twenties when we started working with Dr.Wise so we knew we had time to let nature play its role while also seeing her yearly to ensure everything was still coming back good.

As we got closer to our 30’s with still no success, we realized we were ready to use any and all resources the clinic had available. We sat down with Dr.Wise in 2021 and discussed what medical interventions were available to us, given the choice to choose IUI or IVF we decided to go straight to IVF, we wanted the highest possible chance at finally becoming parents. We started our IVF journey in March 2022. With the support of the team we had at Olive Fertility we were able to take on this overwhelming emotional journey. Throughout the entire process our nurses, the receptionist and the doctors went above and beyond to make it as smooth as possible for us, the support we were given made it feel manageable to take on and helped us stay calm and positive. June 17th 2022 we went down to Vancouver from Kelowna to have our first egg retrieval… they were able to retrieve 20 eggs. A few weeks later we ended up with 8 non tested frozen embryos. Exactly a month later we went back down to Vancouver for our first frozen embryo transfer. On April 4, 2023 we were fortunate enough to welcome that embryo earth side!

Without Olive Fertility this wouldn’t have been possible, we finally have our rainbow baby and spend everyday thankful that we choose this route.
