I always wanted to be a mom and never would have believed it would be such a challenge for me to become one. I know what it’s like to go into the clinic multiple times a week hoping for good news every time. Feeling hopeless in the middle of a cycle that isn’t going how I wanted it to. We were with the clinic for almost three years, went through seven IUI cycles, three miscarriages and an IVF stim cycle/retrieval with two embryo transfers. It was the hardest time in my life. The staff at Olive, from the Receptionist (Tracy!), to the Nurses (Paula!), to the Phlebotomists (Kiran!) and obviously, my truly amazing Doctor, are the experts that I felt extremely lucky to have working with us during the winding, often bumpy road that was our fertility journey. The perseverance, expertise and leadership our Doctor practiced to help us reach the end goal of having our daughter while remaining a compassionate care provider during the most emotional experience of our lives was something I will never forget. We were always encouraged to ask questions and bring our ideas to the table which was a collaborative approach I valued. I really did miss seeing them once I 'graduated'! If you’re just starting or in the middle of your fertility journey, just know you are not alone and you will be in truly wonderful hands with Olive.
