I remember when I was struggling with getting pregnant how tired I was of the “just stop stressing about it” or “maybe just stop thinking about it”advice I would get. Or the story I heard about 100 times in 100 different ways about the couple who tried and tried and then finally went on vacation stopped trying and BOOM got pregnant! Or to stop drinking green juice because it’s cold and babies don’t want to grow in a cold environment. They all implied there was something I was doing, thinking too much, stressing too much, obsessing too much, drinking too much green juice etc.
I didn’t stop trying, I didn’t stop thinking about it, I didn’t go on a vacation to stop trying and I even continued to drink my green juice and smoothies, and guess what? After 2 years of an emotional rollercoaster, 4 IUI’s and several chemical pregnancies where I got my hopes up waytoo early, we had a successful round of IVF and got our baby girl. So grateful for Olive and especially Dr Taylor who helped us so much through this process.
I made this ‘made at Olive fertility’ shirt for my daughter out of excitement before she was born. To me it represents strength, determination and perseverance, and everything it took to go through this process. It’s a wild ride that definitely makes us stronger whether it ends with a baby or not.
