My husband and I had been trying to start a family since 2014. After a year with no success we were referred to Olive. We started out with all the usual testing and everything came back clear. No issues could be seen with either of us. We started small with medicated cycles but no luck. We moved on to IUI and had 4 attempts at that with no luck again.

Meanwhile we were both getting older and we made the leap to IVF. I was 35 at the time of egg retrieval and responded well. We ended up with 9 blastocysts to freeze. We opted not to do genetic testing due to cost and our doctor also did not see a need to. I had never been pregnant, no history of miscarriage, no family history of genetic issues.

Then Covid hit about 5 days before my first transfer in March 2020. After 6 years of waiting looked like we’d have to wait longer. Restrictions were lifted and we transferred two untested embryos. Both took and I had my fraternal twin boys March 2nd 2021 via planned c-section.
