As a Type A person, I’ve always believed that with enough hard work and determination, I could accomplish anything I set my mind to. But when it came to conceiving naturally, that belief was deeply challenged. My husband and I began this journey at 33, and I spent most of my 34th year navigating the ups and downs of fertility treatment. After a year and a half, three failed IUIs, two IVF surgeries, and one embryo transfer, we finally received the news that we were pregnant, the day before Mother’s Day. Today, as we hold our 2.5-month-old son, Pars, we are overwhelmed with gratitude. This journey tested me in ways I never could have imagined, but in the end, it brought us the most beautiful gift. I am incredibly thankful to the team at Olive Fertility Centre, the nurses, doctors, and lab techs, who held my hand with compassion every step of the way.
