COVID-19 Information for Patients | April 2022 update

Olive Care Team

April 26, 2022

COVID-19 continues to be a worry.  Vaccination, masking, social distancing and limiting face-to-face interactions are all helping.

We are fully open! We continue to follow the direction of the Provincial Health Officer, College of Physicians and Surgeons and WorkSafeBC.

These policies remain in effect to keep patients and our staff safe:

  • All patients and visitors are required to wear a mask while in the clinic
  • Only come to Olive if you have an appointment
  • Do not come to the clinic if you have a fever, sore throat or are in any way sick. Call us instead and we will guide you.
  • Do not come to the clinic if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19
  • We ask that there are no kids or extra visitors entering the clinic at this time

We are proceeding carefully with patient and staff safety at the forefront.

Physician consults will remain as telehealth. We strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated. Vaccination is safe while trying to conceived and throughout  pregnancy.

Unsure what to do? Call or email your team. We are very happy to be open to help you grow your family.

Stay safe and healthy!

Olive Patient Protocols

Vancouver Clinic

We are now welcoming partners to attend obstetrical ultrasounds, insemination (IUI) procedures and can be in our recovery area to greet their partners after an IVF egg retrieval. Partners will not be permitted in our procedure room for egg retrievals nor embryo transfers. Please note If you are scheduled for a monitoring ultrasound at a busy time we may not be able to let your partner accompany you as we have to limit patient numbers in compliance with Work Safe BC.

Physician consults will stay as telehealth. We strongly encourage everyone to get vaccinated. Vaccination is safe while trying to conceived and throughout  pregnancy.

Kelowna Clinic

We continue to provide patient care during the Covid19 pandemic as we are considered an essential service.

We will be doing bloodwork and ultrasound on-site, by appointment only. Semen analysis appointments can be booked by calling 250-861-6811. We will continue to do all physician consultations and most follow up discussions by virtual appointment only.

We ask that there are no children or extra visitors entering the clinic at this time. Partners may be invited to enter the clinic in specific circumstances. Please discuss this with our staff in advance.

Surrey Clinic

Due to our waiting room space limitations, partners will not be able to accompany patients into the clinic quite yet – we ask they still wait downstairs. Partners are welcome to accompany patients for OB scans, IUI’s, in the pharmacy and to any in person consults or follow ups booked with Dr Tregoning. Please note If you are scheduled for a monitoring ultrasound at a busy time we may not be able to let your partner accompany you as we have to limit patient numbers in compliance with Work Safe BC.
