Dr. Hao (she/her) is a Family Physician with a special interest in Reproductive Health and Maternity Care. She grew up in East Vancouver and completed her medical degree at the University of British Columbia, where she remains a Clinical Instructor. Dr. Hao completed her residency training in Family Medicine in North Vancouver at Lions Gate Hospital, where she continues to work and teach Primary Care Obstetrics. She has also worked in remote communities throughout BC and in the Northwest Territories.
Dr. Hao joined Olive Fertility Centre in February 2022. After seeing the struggles 1 in 6 couples face when trying to conceive, she has developed a passion for helping people navigate their fertility journeys. Dr. Hao aims to understand her patients' family planning goals, and work together towards creating an individualized plan based on each person's unique circumstances. She works closely with our Reproductive Endocrinology team to provide comprehensive care, and specializes in general family planning discussions, treatment for unexplained infertility, and treatment for infertility secondary to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
Outside of work, Dr. Hao enjoys hiking and exploring the outdoors with her husband and dog, cooking experiments in the kitchen, and amateur home decor projects.
Dr. Hao works in conjunction with Drs. Gary Nakhuda and Dr. Areiyu Zhang.
