I always wanted to be a mom and never would have believed it would be such a challenge for me to become one. I know what it’s like to go into the clinic multiple times a week hoping for good news every time. Feeling hopeless in the middle of a cycle that isn’t going how I wanted it to.

Our journey to parenthood still feels surreal. Infertility is a rollercoaster that you don’t want to be on, taking you slowly up each hill and barreling you down, only to climb another. After some challenging relationships my 40th birthday marked a turning point in my search. I was no longer going to look for “him” I was going to create my own family.

We tried getting pregnant for years with no success. After consulting different doctors we found out that I have Polycystic Ovaries, which is the main reason why I couldn’t get pregnant.

After almost 5 years of trying to conceive and working with doctors, plus 4 failed rounds of IUI we looked at the thought of proceeding down the journey of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). Neither Bryce or I had anything medically wrong that prevented us from having children or impacted the process, it just simply wasn't going to happen on its own.
